1 AUGUST 2016, Ethanol Dehydration Unit in operation for more than 1 year at Pacific Ethanol, Madera, California
LONDON, 1 AUGUST 2016
In June 2015 Whitefox installed its mobile Ethanol Dehydration Unit (EDU)
at Pacific Ethanol in Madera. The EDU has been in operation for 12 months
treating the Molecular Sieve Regenerate stream and Fusel Oils from the upstream
process – the Whitefox ICE™ solution.
The benefits of taking these streams out of circulation are various: they
include steam, cooling water and emissions reduction, as well as
debottlenecking the existing plant to increase capacity.
As a result of seeing
Whitefox’s technology in operation led to Pacific Ethanol agreeing to install a
permanent Whitefox ICE™
solution. Numerous Ethanol producers
have visited the demonstration unit to gain an insight of the benefits of
Whitefox membrane technology.
Whitefox Technologies Limited specialises in technology development and process integration based on membranes.
