Reporting to: Senior Operations Officer
Reporting to the Senior Operations Officer, the successful candidate will originate sales and manage customer relations in Whitefox’s ethanol business with the aim to increase turnover in existing and emerging markets. The candidate will work closely with process engineers, simulation technicians and system designers to prepare customer proposals setting out technical and commercial solutions; both during the sales process and relating to customer support after-sales services.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive sales initiatives for Whitefox’s ethanol business in order to grow turnover, increase market share and develop new market opportunities
- Respond to sales enquiries and customer requests to ensure customer expectations and timelines are met
- Conduct regular market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential and competitive activities; report outcomes to Senior Operations Officer to develop sales initiatives
- Determine customer’s requirements through intensive discussions and regular interaction to develop customised solutions
- Closely liaise with internal and external engineering teams and suppliers in order to manage and coordinate effective technical responses to customer enquiries
- Develop sales activity plan and budgets and report results against sales targets to Senior Operations Officer
- Support engineering team and Senior Operations Officer in developing marketing and sales materials and technical manuals
- Prepare and submit monthly reports reconciling performance with budget and future activity plan
- Represent Whitefox in trade fairs and conferences to promote products, processes and applications
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate in engineering with minimum 5 years proven track record in industrial sales of complex industrial processes in the chemical or petro-chemical industries
- Experience in the ethanol industry or membrane applications would be an advantage
- Strong analytical skills, systematic work approach, excellent negotiation and consulting skills, profit-oriented thinking and approach
- Excellent social skills, open to new ideas, ability to communicate with many different people; willingness to travel
- Proficiency in the English language with one or more secondary languages (German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese)
