Senior Operations Officer

Reporting to: Board of Directors
Reporting to Whitefox’s Board of Directors the Senior Operations Officer will be responsible for managing the sales efforts from an operations perspective to increase turnover, gain market share and explore and exploit new market opportunities for Whitefox’s membrane based technologies and processes. Working closely with Management of the Whitefox Group the successful candidate will align strategic sales targets, technology development, production scheduling and equipment manufacturing to ensure rapid commercialisation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Initiate, prioritise and coordinate sales activities, respond to customer requests, provide customer support in respect to engineering, operation and maintenance
- Discuss and agree sales strategies and budgets with sales engineers. Evaluate sales performance and provide regular updates to management
- Develop and maintain close relationships with major stake holders (customers, engineering partners, suppliers, trade bodies etc.)
- Supervise customer service activities from order entry to invoicing and after sales
- Develop and improve sales strategies including marketing and sales materials, conferences, sales guidelines and technical manuals
- Plan and coordinate internal and external activities and resources to optimise customer service
- Schedule engineering and manufacturing activities in accordance with contract terms
- Reconcile monthly accomplishments with budget and future activity plans
- Identify HR requirements and manage recruitment and supervision of personnel
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Academic background in chemical or petroleum engineering with proven track record in sales of integrated processes. Business degree is a plus
- 10 year plus operational engineering experience with an emphasis on industrial experience and commercialisation in the chemical or oil & gas industries
- Demonstrated successes of implementing new technologies into industrial processes. Experience in membrane technology would be an asset
- Managerial talent who can utilise available resources effectively. Must be able to handle a variety of activities under tight time pressures
- Proven leadership and supervisory abilities. Skills in motivation of people and excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in the English language with one or more secondary languages (German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese)
